About Alecia
I have ten years of vocal performance experience. These experiences include church choirs, weddings, choral ensembles, musical theatre, domestic and international music tours. I have performed abroad and domestically in, Spain, Ghana, South Africa, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. My experiences have enabled me to sing on the renowned stages of Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Universal Studios. One of my most poignant experiences was touring South Africa as a member of Atlanta Young Singers and performing for the 100th birthday celebration of Nelson Mandela. Furthermore, I have studied and interpreted multiple genres such as world music, neo soul, gospel, jazz, classical, blues, bossa nova, rhythm and blues, plainchant and negro spirituals. I not only embrace the many genres of music, but the cultures and traditions reflected in these music forms.
Although most noted as a 1st Alto, my range and skill set allows me to perform first soprano, second soprano, and first tenor as needed in ensembles and collaborations. Not only am I a vocalist, I am also skilled in music theory, composition, and music technology. I have experience using the softwares of Pro Tools, Finale, and Reason. Thus, I am able to record and produce music. I am dedicated to continued growth and mastery in my musicianship.

Perfect! Very eager, ready to teach and help
Perfect! Alecia immediately made me feel comfortable in our first lesson! She can quickly absorb what level you’re at with singing, and knows how to dive right in and get to know you. In our first lesson, I felt like I’ve already learned so much and taken away techniques and exercises to improve, and we barely scratched the surface! I’m so excited to continue this journey with her!
Perfect! Alicia is very understanding and she’s easy to understand. She is kind, She has beautiful voice, I’ve only had my first lesson with her, I’m playing all the techniques she gave me when I sing and I’m able to tell the difference.
Thank you Alicia.Perfect! Alecia is a very considerate and kind person! By the second lesson, I already became really comfortable with her. She’s easygoing and gives the perfect tips in relation to your voice. She knows her stuff about music. I definitely recommend.
- Alecia's response : I enjoyed working with Donielle. She brings great energy into every lesson and takes initiative with her learning. In addition, she takes time to prepare outside of lessons and pays attention to techniques.

Alecia is an amazing instructor! She is very compassionate about her craft and very kind and patient when it comes to teaching. I was her classmate for many years and knew of her natural talent and understanding of music theory so when I encountered struggles in my university level music theory course she was the first person I called! She is very concise with the information and able to break down concepts to her student’s level of understanding. I passed my course with an A and highly recommend others to look to her for teaching!
Alecia is a talented music tutor. She is determined in making sure you understand when comes to sightreading , theory, and voice . She will lead you on the right path to becoming a better musician.
I have known Alecia since 9th grade and her superior knowledge in music is very evident especially in chorus and music theory. I gladly recommend her because she has great leadership and methods to help her fellow classmates in music. She is a great listener and teacher. From my experience in working with her, she helped me a lot with her guidance into becoming better in music.

I’ve known Alecia going on five years now and she is the most inspirational person I’ve ever met. Whenever I needed help with my Music Theory homework or something for a vocal piece, she was always willing to help. She is very hands-on with her teaching. You can always depend on Alecia for whatever you might need.
Alecia is one of the most determined, hardworking, and eager person. She will make sure you know the information you need to know and help you through each step. She is very patient and kindhearted. One of the best teachers I know.
