About the lesson
Math is complicated. Some people are naturally good at it and others take a bit more effort to understand it. But everyone is capable of doing math.
Because math is universal, every single person is a math person.
I was not naturally good at math. It took me a little longer to understand than others yet I still ended up in AP Calculus my senior year of high school and graduated Valedictorian with all Honors INCLUDING math.
I am now a Middle School Math Tutor in Colorado and part of a district program to help struggling students.
---
I am confident in helping other students better their skills and connect the skills they most likely already have to what they are learning in their math classes.
A typical 1-hour lesson includes me working through the student's math homework with them. Making sure they understand each and every part and also making sure they get the work done.
If there is no homework to work through, then I have Math Workbooks according to their grade level to work on so their basics and foundations are strong.
All the skills they learn with me are applicable to school tests. Some being MAP, PSATs, SATS, ACTs & the GED Math section.

About Nhi
I am the Valedictorian of the Class of 2020. I graduated when the pandemic started so learning that year and every year since then has been difficult. Especially with math.
I've managed to find traditional and non-traditional ways that have guided me through all my math classes since then. Despite the struggles, my GPA still stands above a 3.5 and I was on the Dean's list a few times.
I'm excited to share the skills I've discovered with every other student who's been struggling as well. I am sure I can raise each student's confidence and attitude regarding math because I have been in their shoes before. It won't be a problematic subject for long.

Currently, I am taking a gap year but have taken a position as a Middle School Math Tutor. An old teacher reached out to me about a district program and they thought I'd be a good fit to tutor. I've been doing that for 2 months and will continue the position in the upcoming school year of 2022-2023.

I am fluent in both ENGLISH & VIETNAMESE; I can teach in both if needed
Review
All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by students with Nhi.
Perfect! Nhi is an extremely competent, knowledgeable, and patient tutor. She currently tutors my 13 year old daughter who is in middle school. My daughter enjoys her tutoring sessions with Nhi. My daughter describes Nhi as nice and understanding. When she doesn't understand something, Nhi is patient and takes the time to teach her in a way that she understands. My daughter's math comprehension and skills are improving and we're very happy with the progress. We highly recommend Nhi!
- Nhi's response : Hanna is a wonderful student and I look forward to continue working with her!

She explains everything really well. I thought it was going to be really hard at first but she sections everything in a way a completely new learner like me can understand so she's definitely someone you can look towards to learning a new language.
She is very organized and timely! I didn't know anything about the language despite having fully Vietnamese-speaking parents and she broke it down in a way that even I could understand.
