I cater lessons to the needs and wants of individual students. Lessons are available over zoom or in person. Students provide topics they are struggling with, then choose their desired approach to learning, including:
a) discussing the topics in casual, supportive conversation
b) working through practice problems together
c) navigating textbook / online lessons together to learn new material

The experience of learning biology should not include sifting through textbook pages that make no sense or being overwhelmed by long lists to memorize. Although learning requires hard work, biology provides profound opportunities to experience life-giving senses of fascination and amazement.
Biology is the science of life -- a journey through millennia that teaches us how the magnificent world around us came to be, and how it sustains itself. Connecting the mysteries of the molecular to the majesty of vibrant ecosystems not only serves us academically and professionally, but it can enrich our lives with deep fulfillment, curiosity, and passion
