About the lesson
In person or online, I always use whiteboards because you can express what you are saying easily. I love having fun while teaching/ tutoring. Especially with younger children, they will stay intrigued longer. With older kids, I treat them like adults so they do not feel looked down on while reaching out for extra help. I also like to be very verbal in explanations in regards to reading and writing. When it comes to presenting and public speaking skills, it is always good to find their starting ground and work there way up.

About Emily
A US Marine. I graduated high school in 2019. Im currently enrolled in college. I am very fond of working with kids. When I was younger I was a life guard/ swim instructor. I help my brother over FaceTime often with his math. I love teaching and having fun with kids while they learn because I feel that is always a beneficial way to learn.
On the school side of things, grammar and spelling come very easy to me. Reading and writing is something I enjoy doing. When it comes to public speaking and presenting, I would say it is my strong suit. I have made a speech in front of appx. 2,000 people. I took many oral communication classes in high school and love helping others become more confident, competent, and strong with their presenting skills.
