About the lesson

I generally tutor individuals or small groups in Emergency Medical Services concepts or associated subjects. I have experience in biological sciences, epidemiology and research methods. My instructional approach tends to be adjusted in consideration of the needs of my student(s). I encourage methodologies for learning but I do not spoon-feed information. I clarify concepts that a student is experiencing difficulty with. The student is responsible for learning.

About Gary

I am a paramedic, having licensed in 1981. I have a degree in biology / microbiology from Auburn University in Montgomery and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in epidemiology. My experience is two-fold; I remain licensed as a paramedic in Alabama and worked either full time or part time in the field between 1980 to 2017. I continue to work in EMS as a researcher. I instructed at the post-secondary and university levels in Emergency Medical Services and associated subjects from the mid-1990's until 2016.
