Teaching Japanese, over 4 years of experience with the language, I try to encompass other aspects of Japanese culture to cultivate a better understanding of the language.

About the lesson

I have a year of previous experience teaching Hebrew in a High School setting. I have also tutored English to High School students in Israel. I feel confident in my abilities to help students gain a basic understanding of the Japanese language. To help students with this, I don't only use textbooks and traditional methods but I try to encompass other aspects of Japanese culture to cultivate a better understanding of the language. As someone who has been in the same position as many of these people, I want to help them learn the language in a fun and creative way.

About Mickey

Hello, my name is Mickey and I am from New York City. I am currently a student at Sarah Lawrence College where I have studied abroad at Kansai Gaidai University in Japan. I grew up bilingual in English and Hebrew and was exposed to Japanese culture for as long as I can remember. I love to watch Japanese anime, TV, and movies as well as play Japanese games and read manga. I have traveled to many places around the world and have been to Japan numerous times to live and study there for a few months.
