About the lesson
My approach to teaching karate to youth involves making learning the art of karate fun! "Seek Perfection of Character" and "Always a White Belt" are strong parts of my philosophy towards teaching and helping my students grow physically, mentally, and emotionally - fostering respect, confidence, and discipline in their attitudes along the way. Students will learn to appreciate karate as a lifelong learning endeavor that will strengthen both their minds and bodies.

About Sempai April
I am a Shodan (first degree) level blackbelt in Shotokan Karate under the International Shotokan Karate Federation. I have taught Shotokan to youth under the Association of Shotokan Karate (ASK) of Napa, a former charter club ISKF, and as an independent virtual instructor for over five years. Currently I manage instruction for youth and adults of the Shotokan Karate Club of Napa at the Las Flores Community Center in Napa. I have over 10 years of experience educating youth (K-5th grade) in public schools as a parent volunteer, substitute teacher, school librarian, museum educator, and afterschool enrichment activities educator.

Payment for each lesson required in advance of training time. FREE Gi karate uniform offered with second lesson.
Currently offering training from 6-7pm at the Las Flores Community Center in Napa, CA starting Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Address is 4300 Linda Vista Ave, Napa, CA. 10% discount for booking a pack of 5 hour lessons, 20% discount for a pack of 10 hour lessons.
