About the lesson
My tutoring level is best suited for high school and undergraduate level studies; however, graduate level work may be appropriate depending on content. We will begin with a consultation about your study needs and coursework directions, so that I can understand which topics we need to focus on and at what pace. I'll also try to learn how you learn-- visual, auditory, etc. We will come up with a study plan (schedule, strategy for each week, etc) together based on the rigor of your class work and your current level of topic comprehension. I expect to be informed of your class progress and will review your homework and exam scores, and discuss each with you so that you can learn from mistakes made while still moving forward.
I understand students are busy! I was one up till a few months ago. So I'll do my best to adapt to your schedule, as long as we can meet relatively consistently after 6pm on weekdays.

About Valerie
I am a 26 year old postdoctoral researcher that studies tumor biology. As such, I have experience with molecular biology, genetics, and pharmacology, both in concept and in practice. My BS was awarded from ASU's honors college (summa cum laude), and my PhD was awarded by the Medical College at Virginia Commonwealth. I understand that science can be overwhelmingly detail oriented-- my goal is always big level comprehension and understanding, which makes the details make sense. I am passionate about these topics.
