About the lesson

Lessons are individualized based on each student's ability and comfort. I give feedback quickly and frequently, prioritizing students playing rather than me speaking to them. Successful trials will be repeated until the student(s) can consistently perform a skill or piece with a characteristic tone and expressive qualities. I firmly believe that sounding bad is the key to sounding good, as skills are slowly refined from the fundamentals up.

I have 10 years of playing experience and a year of teaching experience. I will complete my undergraduate in music studies from The University of Texas at Austin with a teaching certification and recognition in performance. I strive to create positive learning experiences for my students as they develop as musicians.
