About the lesson

My teaching method is rooted in my experiences as an education studies student and museum educator. My lessons are rooted in critical pedagogy with a focus on the development of critical thinking skills through student-driven inquiry-based learning. About Edward

I am a high school humanities teacher in Northern NJ. I graduated cum laude from Yale and have a master's degree from the University of Oxford. I work with students on a variety of subjects, but specialist in SAT prep and art history. I have taught art history at three art museums and tutored dozens of students in SAT Prep, reading comprehension, writing, history, art history, and public speaking. Additionally, I have written publically implemented curricula for encyclopedic art museums.

He is very patient, and kind - if you don’t immediately understand a concept he can take a step back and try explaining things a different way, which is exactly what i needed. Also, he is great at taking topics that feel complicated / unreachable and explain it in a way that is much more straightforward (and easy to remember). 10/10 would recommend!!

Lessons canceled less than 24 hours in advance will be subject to a fee of 1/2 the lesson rate. Lessons canceled with less than 12 hours notice and "no-shows" will be charged the full amount.
