About the lesson
I live in the Pottsville area and have a degree in elementary education from Penn State Berks. I tutor math, reading, language arts, social studies, and science to elementary and middle school students. I teach the common core but will use multiple ways of teaching if necessary for my students to gain confidence in their ability.

About Beverly
I have home-schooled a child with Asperger's Syndrome in grades 4 through 6 in 2008-2010. When he was integrated back into the public school system, he remained on the honor roll. Currently, I am tutoring a 5th grader from Muhlenberg Middle School. He has an IEP (Individual Education Plan) and has a Special Ed teacher for Reading, Writing, and Math. In the year and a half since I've been tutoring him, he has gone from a first grade reading level to a fourth year level. I also help him with his homework and his grades in this report period were all A's with 1 B+. I'm also tutoring a 1st grader who goes to West Wyomissing Elementary School, also with great success. For the past 2 - 3 years, I helped home-school 3 children in the Morgantown area. They have done well and now attend a Christian school.
I have great references from their parents, as well as from others. I'm sure I can help your child improve his or her skills too. I schedule clients on week-days and week-end. Perfect! So I needed to say this. Beverly is awesome. My son only had two lessons so far. I got a note from his speech teacher saying how much he improved with the word “the”. Beverly was helping him with that word. Plus his confidence is growing with his Academic English. He loves having Beverly help him.
