About the lesson
I approach each topic with a fundamental understanding of how it works, building from the basics into more challenging applications of the material. I cater my teaching style to each student specifically. Each lesson covers fundamental exercises, technique exercises, and focus on developing individual musicianship.
With around a year of teaching over the internet under my belt, I 100% believe that I can effectively teach students over Zoom/Google Meet/etc.

About Akshat
I'm a tubist based in Chicago who has studied classical music for the past decade. I grew up around the world and have a unique perspective on teaching music to students of all backgrounds. I've been teaching private lessons for 6 years and have had students go on to study music full time for their undergraduate degrees. I'm comfortable teaching beginners to students in college, and I love figuring out what works best for each specific student. My standards are high and I truly believe that anyone can do anything they put their mind to, and my role as a teacher is to push my students past their limits to goals they didn't think they could achieve.

Details
I'm open to adjusting my rate depending on need-based considerations. My rate is a firm $60/hr for those who can afford it, or $30/half hour. If we agree to regular lessons, there is a lesson contract involved between myself and the parents/student that outlines details regarding scheduling, payment, lesson preparation, and accountability on both parties involved. Ultimately, I don't want money to be a hurdle for a student that is interested in taking lessons, however, I want to ensure that I am getting a fair rate for my time and expertise.
