About the lesson

We will be using Classical and Modern methods to learn an instrument with knowledge of Music Theory and History.
Each lesson will cover warm up exercises, studies and etudes, learning solo repertoire of students choice in different styles - classical, folk, jazz, rock, reggae.
Students from grades 4 to 12 and adults getting back into playing are welcome!

About Gene

Playing flute since 9yo, studying with great teachers, getting masters degree and starting my professional career was the greatest journey of my life. And it still is!
More than 100 students and 1000 performances later I still play and share my knowledge.
Music is my life!
I help school students to be the best in class, to appreciate music, to develop good skills and confidence, to participate in competitions and to strive for success.

Gene has given flute lessons to my daughter and was also heading her school jazz band. I would like to say that Gene is the best person to make anybody happy and motivated about learning to play an instrument. He communicates his passion so well to kids/teenagers and at the same time I was really happy about the quality of his teaching and the way he challenged my daughter to play harder pieces and even improvised solo jazz pieces. He is also very reliable, flexible and the sweetest person.

I have had many flute teachers in my life but no teacher has made me want to play and practice more. He is so passionate in music that his lessons encourage you to genuinely want to practice and work to better your skills.
