About the lesson

I truly love sharing the gift of music with my students! As a professional musician for over 20 years, I can help beginners all the way up to advanced students studying saxophone, flute, clarinet, piano, music theory, composition, arranging and improvisation.

My focus is always to help my students build their skills and confidence, step-by-step. I will tailor your lessons to your needs and your unique way of seeing the world. Above all, I approach every lesson with awareness, patience and respect. I try to keep our lessons as fun as possible too!

About Charles

While studying at one of the top music schools in New York, I discovered that I had a natural talent for helping students improve their technique and confidence. By the time I graduated (magna cum laude), I knew my calling was to be a music teacher.

For more than eighteen years now, I've helped hundreds of students foster their love for music. Some of them have gone on to highly successful academic and professional musical lives!

He was most capable in bridging the gap between calculus and physics and transferring what he learned in each class to the other. He was diligent in his solutions to problems and was always willing to try alternate methods. When my students were permitted to group themselves, Charles was in great demand because of his ability to raise his peers to his level, teaching and not telling, how to solve a physics problem.
When Charles graduated high school, he earned the Physics Award and the Math and English Department Awards for Excellence.
Now as a professional tutor, Charles has continued to teach a wide variety of courses from study skills to college level calculus and physics. Charles completely turned me around in calculus. I was having serious trouble in AP calculus BC before Charles starting working with me. He showed me really great ways of visualizing the calculus problems, and had a real knack for making really complicated things much for simple to understand. I ended up with a 92% in the class!!
