About the lesson

I teach by developing a three-tier exercise system, that is tailored to the student's needs, abilities, aptitude, and desire to learn. The tiers are as follows:

1) Learning to read and play rudiments, exercises, and written pieces.

2) Learning to listen to, chart, and play recorded music.

3) Learning to apply what has been learned to the student's own creative ideas. EG: conceiving, writing, and working out parts for the drum set.
