About the lesson
I am trained in Amit Peled’s innovative cello technique method, having studied with him intensively at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. This technique has revolutionized my playing and that of many of my colleagues, helping to improve sound quality, ease of musical expression, boost technical confidence, and avoid injury. I have seen great results not only with advanced students, but also with beginners and adults!
I studied in professional music conservatories in Spain, where I completed a performance diploma in cello and piano along with rigorous courses in music theory, composition, and conducting. I integrate advanced concepts in theory and musicianship into my cello lessons in a way that is simple to understand and easy to put into practice.

About Esther
Hello! I'm Esther, and my mission is to help classical musicians discover and develop their unique potential.
My passion for teaching began when I was in my teens, helping classmates with music theory or coaching chamber music groups. I enjoy making advanced concepts simple, exciting, and easy to put into practice for my students.
As an active professional cellist performing in orchestras, chamber groups, and solo, I am constantly solving real-life problems such as how to most efficiently practice in a busy schedule, what techniques ACTUALLY work in a concert setting (not just in theory), and this constantly informs my teaching.

Esther is patient, insightful, and encouraging! She is also an excellent musician. :)
I have learned a lot from her, and would recommend her as a cello teacher for anyone who is serious about advancing their musical skills.Ever since I've known Esther, I've been impressed with her superb communication, and her ability to impart excitement for music along with nurturing strategic growth in essential skills and technique. She connects well with both children and adults, and her cheerful, calm teaching style is such a gift! I'd recommend her both to advanced students, and to beginners with a passion to pursue excellent musicianship.
