About the lesson

I focus on the interests of the students when planning reading/phonics or any lesson and use a hands-on, multi-sensory approach to learning. Children learn by doing and have more fun learning through games and related activities in which they are directly involved.

About Pamela

I have taught preschool/pre-k, with diverse class populations for 18+ years. My focus has been preparing students to be ready for and excel in kindergarten in all subject areas. My particular interest and passion is in reading and I focus on pre-reading skills, teaching the basics, needed to develop into a successful reader. Over the course of my career, I have worked with students exhibiting social-emotional issues as well. My MA degree, working with LD students has taught me to individualize lessons, focusing on the interests and needs of each student. Every child has the ability to learn and succeed. It is up to me to find the best approach that will result in success. I have taught/tutored in both the classroom and private setting, particularly assisting students struggling with reading and writing.
