About the lesson
With my spanish literature lessons you will be able to practice your Spanish reading comprehension while improving your oral skills as we debate the text.
We'll be reading some argenitian-latinamerican classics such as Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortázar, Gabriel García Marquez, Mario Vargas Llosa and even venture into more contemporary writers.
Directed for all levels, we settle on a difficulty that works for you. Depending on the text we might read along or prepare it before hand. The lenght of the classes is adaptable to one or 2 hours.
I also give regular Spanish lessons focusing on grammar and oral expression, as well teaching my students new vocabulary, improving their comprehension of the language and hability to communicate with native speakers such as myself. We practice talking to each other, listening, reading and doing book excercises.

I'm a Philosophy and Literature (UBA) advanced student from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I've always been passionate about different languages, literature and communication. I've been giving spanish lessons since the beginning of 2021 and looking forward to keep doing it for a long time, since i love talking and sharing my passion for cultures and knowledge.

We wanted to further our reading and vocabulary in Spanish. Juan's literature and philosophy background makes stories fun to read and discuss. His English is excellent, which makes it easy for students to understand the nuances and gain a deeper understanding of the story as well as the culture.
My wife, grandfather, and I take weekly beginners Spanish lesson from Juan. He started with teaching us the basics of the language with emphasis on grammar and has built upon the basics into conversational Spanish.
Overall, Juan has a structured process, which has helped us learn conversational Spanish. He is very professional, easy to interact with, and takes extra efforts to help us understand nuances.
