Perfect! Natalie has been so awesome with my daughter, she is super shy and Natalie has been able to really connect with her and get her out of her shell. She has been very professional and created work for my daughter to complete in between sessions to help her with reading comprehension. We are so lucky to have found her.
- Natalie's response : Adriana, Jennifer's daughter, did a great job of communicating her needs and expectations. She is eager to learn and to improve. I look forward to working with her!
Perfect! Beyond just working on grammar and sentences, Natalie is paying attention to my high school sophomore’s interests and trying to bring out what will motivate my daughter to engage with her literature and history classes. A skilled teacher, and someone my daughter really enjoys spending time with.

Perfect! I loved working with Natalie! She was very helpful in developing my concepts. I struggle with writing and felt as though Natalie was nonjudgmental. She was supportive and encouraging. She didn’t just correct things but explained so I could understand. I will definitely be using her again!!
- Natalie's response : Madeline did a wonderful job of finding creative ways to improve her elevator pitch. She was very receptive to feedback and showed great progress!
Perfect! Natalie was instrumental in helping me revise my resume and craft a cover letter that captured my personality and told my professional story. I had Mrs. Castellanos as a teacher for two years, including one of full virtual learning due to COVID. She was one of the few teachers that was able to truly adapt to it all and have a virtual class as good or better than what they had in person.
However, Mrs. Castellanos is a great teacher regardless of environment. She's very casual as a teacher, which allowed me and other students to bond with her and look forward to her classes as a teacher, while still learning nonetheless. Speaking from personal experience, she strikes the perfect balance between acting as a teacher and a classmate for her students, dissolving the traditional barrier between teacher and student that would cause me to shy away from learning from some teachers due to their demeanor.
There's too many reasons I could recommend Mrs. Castellanos to put here, but I think that's a good enough recommendation in and of itself.Mrs. Castellanos truly cares for her students, their well-being, and their learning. She always went above and beyond to ensure she was helping us to the best of her ability to make sure we were successful. I loved having her as my English teacher, she challenged us and taught us important skills I still carry and use to this day. Not only is she a wonderful teacher to have, she is also a great friend. Anyone who is taught by Mrs. Castellanos is lucky!
Mrs. Castellanos taught me in an International Baccalaureate level literature class during the COVID-19 epidemic and never failed to engage with and educate her students. In her class I not only read and analyzed classic literature, but also learned about the history of art and how to make thoughtful connections between forms of literature and the real world. I would absolutely recommend Mrs. Castellanos to any student and family.
Natalie had been my teacher a few times throughout my high school career. She is an excellent teacher who explains her lessons in a manner that is easy to understand, and is very encouraging towards her students.
One of the sweetest and understanding Teachers out there! She has continued to improve not only as a teacher but as a person. She is one of the best out there and will only become better!
I had her as my Literature teacher for my junior year of high school and she was an amazing teacher! I came with her about a fear I had with presenting and she helped me conquer that fear!
Mrs. Castellanos taught me Literature during my junior year. During my time in her class, Mrs. Castellanos nurtured my passion for writing and helped me become a more well rounded student. She truly cared about everyone in our class, and strived to stimulate our interest in the subject. We read “Frankenstein”, “Perfume”, and “The Bluest Eye” (among others) in her class. I especially enjoyed reading “The Bluest Eye.” This was Mrs. Castellanos’ favorite book, and our class discussions were lively and engaging because of this. I specifically remember that I enjoyed the process of writing our final essays, because Mrs. Castellanos provided incredible constructive criticism that encouraged me to work hard, and caused me to become a better writer. Now, as a sophomore in college, I continue to use the skills that I learned in her class, and I still think of her as one of my favorite teachers. Her caring and trustworthy nature, combined with her incredible knowledge of Literature, molded me into a motivated student who now minors in creative writing. Any student would be lucky to have her as their teacher!
Natalie Castellanos is a wonderful teacher! She always ensured that every student walked out of her classroom with a clear understanding of the day's subject. When I struggled with concepts in the past, she always provided judgment-free assistance. Whether you love literature or avoid the classics like the plague, Natalie will ensure that you leave with a better understanding than you had before.
Mrs. Jorges-Castellanos is one of the most caring, helpful teachers that I have ever had. In her world literature class, we had such deep, thoughtful discussions that were paired with creative and helpful ways of interpreting texts. When I got something wrong, she would help me revise it in a helpful and encouraging way. I grew so much as a student in her class with my analysis, comprehension, and writing skills. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, she was great at helping with my assignments and keeping me on track while still being patient and caring about my well-being! As far as intelligent, understanding, and kind teachers go, Mrs. Jorges-Castellanos is the one of the best out there.
