For my lessons I want to inspire and encourage others to escape their comfort zones and learn to love the art of roller derby and roller skating. I want to create a positive environment that supports everyone on their individual journeys to reach their set goals. For my classes, I encourage students to come in with a list of immediate goals, goal to be met with a bit of experience, and “dream” goals. Learning how to roller skate or play roller derby takes time, patience, and lots of determination. Working as a team is essential for success!

About Marley
I started playing roller derby when I was only 10 years old and immediately fell in love with the sport and it’s community. Since then, I played on several co-ed and all female teams including Los Anarchists, Team USA, and Jr. Olympic Team USA. In total I played for about 8 years until I suffered from a back injury when I was about 18. Although I had to retire, roller derby impacted my life in immeasurable ways. With newfound skills, friends, and confidence, I would encourage anyone to try roller derby or even just roller skating! I want to be able to share the gift of 8 wheels with the world :)

Perfect! Marley was great and super patient! It was helping to learn techniques for beginners.
Perfect! Marley is a very supportive instructor. I haven't skated in over 25 years and she met me right where I was at. No judgment, just positivity and encouragement. She is extremely graceful and strong. She even gave me tips to get stronger off skates as well. I am looking forward to my next lesson!
