About the lesson
* I am qualified Japanese teacher and also got the Master's degree in Translation in Australia. I can teach you more natural expressions than textbooks using my translation experience, too.
* I tailor the lessons to meet each students' needs, for example, JLPT, daily conversation, supporting to write essay, and helping for preparations for academic studies.
* Lesson length is basically 1 hour or 1 and half hour, sometimes 2hours depending on the students' requests.
* I can teach students at any level from teenager such as high school and university students to help your school assignments and exams, and of course adults. If you are 100% beginner. No problem! You are more than welcomed!

About Makiko
I have an undergraduate degree in Education from the Nagoya University in Japan and a master's degree in translation studies from the Monash University in Melbourne.
After working as a freelance translator for several years in Japan, I have been teaching Japanese for 10 years for English-speaking expats and their wives and also many university students in Japan.
Since 2020, I've been also teaching students living in overseas, such as the U.S, African and European countries using the Zoom.
I am also podcasting for helping Japanese learners who want to listen more natural, conversational and real Japanese conversation. If you want to listen my voice to know me, check my podcast "Nihongo Toranomaki" The podcast is for intermediate and advanced level students, but don't worry, I am an expert to teach beginners. I can speak slowly and easily so that you can understand 100%.
I love traveling, running, swimming, dancing and snowboarding.
I travelled Indonesia many times and also my families are living in the US now. Of course I like Japanese anime, drama and music. We can have many common topics!! Surely we will have a great conversation during the class!
