My teaching method is a combination of modeling and connecting new skills to previous skills to make sure students have no misconceptions. I check often for understanding when students begin practicing the skill on their own before moving on to new skills.

About Melissa

I have been a math teacher for over 20 years. I have taught middle school math and was an elementary Math Specialist. As a math teacher I strive to find activities and connections that engage my students. I teach the concept behind algorithms and look at connections between different strands of mathematics. It helps my students when I connect different areas of mathematics as I introduce new topics and review topics.

At this time, I am only offering tutoring sessions over Zoom. Payment is preferred through Venmo.
30 minute session is $25.
45 minute session is $35.
60 minutes session is $40.
My availability is M-TH beginning at 4:30 PM EST (6:00 PM EST on Tuesdays).
Weekend Availability is flexible.
