About the lesson

I like to utilize the classwork and homework that is provided to the student by their school teacher to tailor my lesson plans. I request that the student or parent provide the student's syllabus for that term so that I can make sure to keep lessons aligned with what the student is learning in school. I design lesson plans based on how the student learns best (flash cards, videos, homework assignments, Q&A, etc). I modify each session based on student/parent feedback and performance on mini-tests I handout to assess student's progress.

I am a Lead Physical Therapist helping children with developmental delays reach their goals. I have been tutoring students for more than 10 years. I customize tutoring and instructional approaches to meet the needs of the student. Experience with 1-1 tutoring sessions or group sessions, whatever learning style best fits the student. I have prepared mini tests based on students’ homework and classwork assignments to help prepare students for upcoming assessments. I have provided students with additional tutoring homework to optimize understanding of material. Utilized various apps and online resources to diversify problem sets. Subject areas include: Elementary reading/writing/math, up to Calculus-level Math, up to High School-level Reading/Writing, NPTE prep, SAT/ACT prep, GRE prep, Spanish I and II.
