About the lesson
I am a very adaptive tutor able to help a variety of students. Whether your student is a middle school learner writing a research essay for the first time, or you are the student looking to write an essay for your college-level coursework, I will sit down with you and revise your essay with you in real time. I will work through grammar, spelling, structure, readability, understandability, and more with you, live.
You will be able to watch me make recommendations on your paper and talk through your ideas with you as well as help you create YOUR essay, YOUR way. I will never change your words or ideas as the essay will remain your own.
WHAT A SESSION WILL LOOK LIKE:
If you have a rough draft of your essay, we will sit down together and go through it line-by-line. I will tell you everything you have done right and what needs to be improved. This is the best method to get well-rounded and comprehensive feedback.
No rough draft? No problem. Many students struggle with where to start and how to begin. While I can not (and will not) write an essay on behalf of a student, I can (and am always very happy to) help a student draft out a game plan to get a rough draft started. We will create a general outline of the research you need, where it should be, and the best order to put it in. Just make sure to bring the criteria for the essay with you to the lesson!

About Abrial
I graduated with my Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies with an honor's distinction from Columbus State Community College in 2021. I am currently in pursuit of my bachelor's degree from Kent State University in the same field.
I have tutored professionally since January of 2022, but my general experience tutoring predates that time. I am the oldest sibling in my household, therefore making me the tutor by default for two younger sisters. Furthermore, during my junior year of high school, I volunteered at an after-school program caring for children. Part of the childcare duties included homework help, where I helped students as young as 4 years old and as old as 13. Currently, I tutor many clients in college-level writing, Microsoft Office, research methodologies, writing organization, and more. I also have continued to tutor many younger children in math and English.

Perfect! Abrial is AMAZING!! She is my life savior!! I was really struggling with college and almost quit until I met Abrial. My college experience shifted dramatically to the better! I can ask certified stupid questions and she will not make me feel a bit bad and just explain it to me so clearly. I feel like I am a priority to her and she makes herself available in her busy schedule for me. She is so smart! Any subject I bring to session she can help me with, she is literally the one stop shop! She is respectful about the time and makes use out of all the time we got!! I honestly do not know where I would be today without her! My mental sanity has improved because she breaks things down for me and I can literally go on and on.... ( In a way I am selfish and I don't want anyone to know about the best kept secret- ABRIAL but... I know I would not want someone to hold back this kind of help for me..)
- Abrial's response : Kayla's a great student! She's always prepared and has great ideas, and she is so sweet.

I have had Abrial tutor me through High School and college with my reading and writing. She helped me get into nursing school with application essays and she helped me in my 12th grade ELA class with my final essays. She is really nice!!

Cancellation policy can be waived due to extenuating circumstances or emergency. However, as a full-time student who tutors and does volunteer work, my schedule is really really strict. Please do your best to attend each session as scheduled. We're all human, things happen, and exceptions can always be made, but please understand that I value your time, and I hope that you will value mine!
