About the lesson

Violin has been a part of my life since I was 6 years old, and since then I’ve grown both technically and emotionally from the art. I’ve competed and placed in the top chairs at numerous competitions including state solo festivals, all-state orchestras, and regional competitions. I have also been a soloist with a semi-professional orchestra twice and competed and performed in Carnegie Hall when I was just 16 years old. Since I began college, I have given two concerts and am having a for-charity concert in my home town in June.

About Vidya

During this past year, I have had numerous temporary students who were eager for a different perspective in music. I believe that my age and expertise in the art make me an ideal teacher for young musicians. Music is truly a comfort and friend, and I encourage all students out there to practice and have courage to grow! :)

Vidya was right on time to the session and was throughly prepared. She took time out of her day to go through every practice problem I sent her before the call. As she went through equations she would make sure I understood what was happening before moving on. I never felt bad about asking smaller questions like I may in a classroom environment. Vidya even went overtime to go through any other questions I had and told me to not be shy about letting her know about any other worries after the call ended. Overall, she is a great teacher and mentor with a kind and energetic attitude and there is no one else who I would rather go to for help.
