About the lesson

I will break down the core components of cryptocurrency in both today's state, its possible state in the future and review its past. Doing this informally I believe is the best way to teach you how to view the market as a whole and learn how to properly judge the fundamentals of everything in the crypto space. I will create a curriculum/lesson tailored to your needs and ensure you understand more about the space through our interaction.

Cryptocurrency is what I do for a living, I firmly believe that more people need to know about this space and know it well, I am here to hopefully teach you everything I can about the space to ensure you can have success like I have and avoid issues I have encountered myself over my journey.

When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?
I have always been an educational resource for friends, family, and those in my network of influence when it comes to computer science-related topics. Cryptocurrency has been a passion of mine for over a decade now and I wish to ensure its message and use case is delivered in a useable manner to people looking to learn.

Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).
Cryptocurrency or Web3 as people call its evolutionary form is my topic of choice, I enjoy it because it harnesses the power of the information age and the freedom of human creation. It does this while maintaining control and consent at the individual level which is a welcomed change from the internet and world run by out-of-touch platforms and corporations.

A topic that I still very much engage in but is not my favorite would be that of technical analysis and scalp trading cryptocurrencies. I feel these are very close to gambling and not rooted in the fundamentals of the technology, they are legitimate but not for beginners.

Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?
Many content creators have both inspired me out of admiration as well as a kind of spite. Too often do you see creators urging their fans to buy the next big thing for it to turn out to be a scam or rug-pull. To combat this I feel driven to teach people how to look out for these kinds of things and focus more on the projects they are getting into and less on the hype train.

What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?
I would argue the best quality teacher is one that understands how to get their student's dopamine flowing by finding something that truly interests them. If you want someone to learn something it needs to be fun and engaging. It's for this reason I choose to teach in an informal way that suits each student differently.

Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school
In my years at school, I rarely did as I was told and mostly as I wanted, you need to follow your passions in life if you want to be happy. Success is not guaranteed but happiness will make even a difficult journey bearable

What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?
One of the most prominent challenges in cryptocurrency for me is staying up to date. With the fast pace of this technology, there is so much to learn and only so little time in a day. As the saying goes "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one". So as time goes by I try to experience as much as I can in the crypto space to ensure I'm not missing out on something new and exciting. You must do this if you wish to not become myopic to the world shaping around you.

Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?
My particular passion outside of the web3 and crypto space would be that of science communication. A personal hero of mine growing up was that of Carl Sagan and to this day enthusiasm for sci-comm remains at the forefront of my daily life.

What makes me a Superprof is my ability to engage and understand how each individual student may need something technological broken down to them in a different way in order for the gears to begin to click and the learning process to begin.
