About the lesson

Bonjour! Born and raised in France where I taught English in middle and high schools, I've been living in Chicago for a few years now and have switched English to French as a teacher. My experience ranges from private schools (Independent and Catholic) and private language institutions such as the Alliance Française of Chicago where I obtained my certification to teach DELF-DALF but also TCF, and, to College level.

I hope to open my students' minds and help them discover a more realistic and holistic view of the world. I want them to embrace the opportunity of discovering a new language, a new culture, and for them to see and understand the similarities and differences this language will provide.

I'm also happy to help intermediate students to get back with their skills and regain confidence in themselves. The more mistakes you'll make, the better you'll learn!

I've been teaching for 15 years now and 6 years online. My students range ages from 8 to 65 years old.

My goal as a teacher is not simply to educate, but to quicken curiosity in my students and then empower them to uncover the answers themselves.

No matter what, I maintain that a teacher has the power to affect change. There is a particular humility in being a teacher; it is important to remember that we were once students too, and let that memory grounds us.
