About the lesson

I am very comfortable in teaching high school biology in preparation for state exams. I work best when I can give an overall lesson and work with students in understand main points. I am also a Thinking Maps certified trainer and like to incorporate them into my lessons.

About Anna

I am a former high school science teacher with experience in teaching biology, environmental science and Earth and Space science. As freshman biology teacher, I had a 95% student pass rate on the STAAR Biology exam. With over 4 years of high school experience, I have been in the classroom in many forms; not only as a teacher but also as a teachers aide and tutor at over 6 different schools in the El Paso area. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in biology and have many years experience as an Assistant Instructor at UTEP and EPCC.
