About the lesson
My teaching methodology follows the student or class led/needs model. I frequently discourse with students, conduct formal and informal progress assessments and adjust instruction and content accordingly. I find this kind of assessment of students’ progress and needs to be essential in preparing a practical instructional program.
My teaching style is methodical yet varied. I use a variety of instructional methods and materials to craft a consistent, interesting, and most importantly, a successful course of study. Homework or independent practice is an essential part of information retention and comprehension. I do assign independent work that is an essential part of my teaching methodology's success.

About Tana
I am a graduate student studying secondary English education. My background is in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and English as a foreign language (EFL). I have been teaching ESL and EFL for over ten years. I have worked with school-aged children in academic support roles and with adults as a primary instructor. I have also taught the GED essay successfully whereas the skill levels of all of my students improved and each of them passed the GED essay and English Language Arts portions of the GED exam. I look forward to working with any student(s) looking to improve their skill levels or who are looking to challenge themselves and advance their skills.
