About the lesson
My teaching method consist of combination of the worldwide translated and famous Dutch stepsmethod, and the methods developed and used by masters from strong Soviet chess schools. My approach for every student is individual. In the first sessions, I like to gauge exactly what my student's ambitions are. What is YOU would like to achieve in chess. From there, we will devise a plan together to see exactly how you can achieve your goals.
I mainly concentrate on to find strength and weaknesses of my students and improve it. My teaching methodology covers every aspect of chess, I'll provide for my students basics skills of chess like: calculation techniques, middlegame strategy and theoretical endgames, as well as opening preparation. My goal is to enrich my student's understanding of chess and their thinking process.
I like to focus on aspects of the game which are harder for you to study by yourself and will be thriving to help you to learn how to work on chess by yourself.

Perfect! Tea is a great teacher, who’s always patient and kind, and I’m a big fan of her teaching method. She starts out by analyzing games you’ve played, looking over good and bad moves. For bad moves, she points out if there’s a blunder or a free piece that you may have missed, but instead of just telling you what to do, she lets you think it out. After she looks over a game, she usually puts on puzzles for you to do that relate to mistakes you may have made while in a game, and that use a similar core concept such as pins or forks to make them feel more natural. She also introduces and shows puzzles on new concepts, or refreshes old ones. I’d recommend her to anyone who wants to improve at chess!
Perfect! Tea is an incredible teacher. She is working with 3 children around 1k rating and an adult around 1600. She is patient, intelligent, prepared and incredible. I could not imagine a better teacher to learn chess from.
Perfect! Tea's a wonderful instructor. Provides valuable analyses of my games, gives me challenging exercise, and her all-around good nature makes the lessons fun. Each session is packed with insights and helpful tips. I've played chess all my life but have never had any formal instruction. With Tea's instruction, I've seen marked improvement in my game and am eager to see what untapped potential her coaching can unleash.
Perfect! Tea has worked wonderfully with our little boy. She is kind and walks through moves and reasons. She focuses well on understanding.

As an organiser of chess events I met Tea a lot of times, contracting her for simultaneous chess seances and chess lessons. I am convinced by her enormous capacity of her crystal clear way of chess teaching. I can ‘t do else than recommend Tea as your perfect coach :)
Tea is my Ferry woman of all dead and lost games. Turn off your engine and let her guide you through the universe of chess possibilities. Move by move all the lost potential in your games will be revealed, letting you dream of what could have been.
Tea is a great teacher. She gives chess lessons to our eleven year old daughter, who really enjoys Tea's lessons. Tea is always very well prepared and it is easy to ask her questions. She is very good at giving constructive tips and does this in a positive way. She takes the time to explain the themes and concepts thoroughly. Tea is very involved and shows much interest.
Tea combines her her experience as player and trainer in The Netherlands with her own education in the famous Sovjet chess school. Students can expect the best of both worlds. She adjusts her lessons to the needs of each individual student, carefully studying the students games.
Tea is accurately described as a 'magician' at the board. Like no other trainer she makes me understand the logic of potential moves. Looking at a position through her eyes will teach you how to create winning opportunities as well. And being the true champion she is, she also understands how to deal with tournament pressure - seeing that we are not machines when playing live games.
Tea is very good at analyzing the strength and weaknesses of your game. She is very pleasant to be around and improving my game has been a fun experience. My knowledge of and enthusiasm for chess has grown a lot from Tea's lessons.
Tea is a very kind and competent teacher. She is great with children and adults. We have played together in different chess teams and she has become a good friend. She is trustworthy and i recommend her without hesitation!
Tea is a very experienced teacher who cares about every student, as well as the game of chess itself and teaching it to others. She is always very well prepared, which makes every lesson feel very useful. Very recommendable for all ages and across a wide variety of skill levels. Besides her chess knowledge, Tea is also very pleasant to work with as she is very patient, helpful and just overall very fun to be around.
I worked with Tea for two years to deliver chess lessons to primary age children in an international school setting. I consider Tea to be something beyond a mere Grand Master and champion. She is possessing of a spirit and humanity that cannot be bought or paid for. She is my friend certainly, and I am privileged to be able to say so.
