Perfect! Mr.Dan has been tutoring my son with English language lessons. He is a very patient, fun and knowledgeable teacher. We initially had Mr.Dan help improve our son’s essay writing skills specifically for ISEE. After a few sessions, it was clear that Mr.Dan was gifted with language skills beyond just essay writing. So he started helping with sentence diagramming for grammar and some reading comprehension skills, as needed. My son never feels rushed at the end of the session and I get a comprehensive email on what was discussed in class. Every few sessions, Mr.Dan fills me in on my son’s progress. Our son now feels more confident approaching any writing assignment because of the structure and strategies that Mr.Dan helped him with. I highly recommend Mr.Dan for improving your child’s writing skills and honestly any other English language skills.

Sohan definitely is able to recall key passages from the novel and converse about these passages, explaining their relevance. Initially, I think either Sohan misunderstood the concept of "insider versus outsider" or didn't apply the concept rigorously enough when choosing passages for this assignment.

From his after school sessions, to his Saturday tournaments, to his summer camps, chess was always a fun activity that brought new groups of people together, many of whom became my closest friends. Anything he organized was always really well run and I really couldn't imagine my childhood without chess, or Dan! I am truly indebted to Dan for introducing and teaching chess to me all those years.
