I teach on a very individual level. I meet each student where he/she is in terms of knowledge of grammar, etc. I try to allow his/her personal expressions, impressions, insights, and identity to be reflected in the work while guiding them on structure, formatting, and citations.

I have just retired from 17 years of teaching middle and high school students. I currently coach college students on writing assignments and essays for college and job applications. All my students have graduated with honors and have GPAs in HS and/or college of 3.7 and above.
