About the lesson

As my certification is in secondary education, I typically tutor students in grades 7-12 for any topic relating English reading and writing. I tend to speak with my students prior to the actual lesson to gage the topic that they're learning and meet them at their level. I set goals for my students, and often times, will put a reward system into place to help keep them motivated.

Hi! My name is Payton and I'm an English major at Texas Tech University. I am currently working to attain my secondary education certification in English Language Arts. I am a published author and avid writer. I've been tutoring for about three years now. As a student myself, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and been able to balance university on top of work.
