About the lesson

Being an engineering student, I'm well aware of short attention span during lectures that seem to extend on forever! Instead, I believe in active listening, wherein you'd know what I'm talking about because you're actually interested. How do I do that? Well, by understanding what interests you, what captures your attention and how much you can take in a single session. There's power to YOU! You tell me what interests you and I would make every effort to relate the subject with your interests. Consequently, based on your strengths and weaknesses, I would customize a detailed lecture plan on the topics that you require help with, exercises, discussions, and my favorite: your progress analysis. Results: you get it better and listen attentively! The thing is: if you actually want to learn, I'll make sure you do!

About Aakanksha

As a biomedical engineering graduate student, I aspire to make a difference in people's lives. I started volunteering for a student initiative that taught impoverished children for free during my undergraduation (biotechnology). I then proceeded to teach high school students via video lecturing as a part of a startup. With a 4 yr experience in tutoring in subjects related to biology and biotechnology, I can help you understand, interpret and score better. Excellent! Smart, patient and encouraging tutor but isn't really interactive with students, just kind of crams information into their minds by continuing to lecture and lecture and tries to question them after continuing to talk and not letting the student speak and add on or ask for help in something else (making it harder for the student to direct the class to their needs during it). And although there was this issue and more, I think I'll still recommend her because she made it enjoyable and made me look forward to each class, and she did contribute. :)
