About the lesson
I use the traditional instrument teaching method. However, I am also trained in the Suzuki violin method, as well as many other styles of music such as pop, rock, fiddle, country and ethnic. I give lessons to students ages 4 to 70. My teaching techniques are customized to the student's needs. If a student is interested in learning classical violin and wants to focus on building great technique through a variety of traditional methods and books, I provide them with just that. If they want to learn a wide variety of styles, we focus on learning a diverse repertoire of pieces. My main goal is to instill love for the instrument in every student.

Denitza deserves the highest personal reference that one can give. I've witnessed her professional performances, solo, duo, Irish bands, weddings, and orchestra director. I've met her parents, both high-caliber performers who taught music. The Joy de Vivre is definitely in the family. Her husband teaches saxophone, and I hired him to work with one of my personal clients. She and her family have performed in my dining room for special celebrations leaving guests in awe. She conducted her orchestra at my 2-day benefit concert, where her students shined as developing artists. Denitza's students gain both music and performance skills under her tutelage. I watched her give the first violin lesson to a 4-year old boy. It was very moving to see her delicate manner in sharing her passion with a toddler. She also teaches senior citizens, among others, starting at a later age. Denitza is the quintessential music teacher and performer, and I will recommend her highly.
We have worked extensively with Denitza on a variety of projects over the last year, and we are still in awe of her incredible talent, professionalism, and her ability to make the most complex piece look easy.
She is a master talent.
During our many collaborations on set, there are, inevitably, many occasions where we have periods of waiting to achieve lighting and audio settings. Denitza is calm and patient, and has an amazing gift to make every encounter thoroughly enjoyable, as well as being approachable to every member of cast and crew.
Anyone looking to work with Denitza either for lessons, or for performance, should feel incredibly blessed, and rush to take the opportunity with both hands.

(USA and UK)Denitza Larsen has taught my 2 children for at least 5 years now and is an amazing teacher! She explains music so great that my youngest learned to read music at the age of 4 years old! I would totally recomend her for teaching all age groups and would highly commend her as a teacher for your web site !
My name is David Kancsar - I am a professional pianist, conductor, and music educator. I've known Denitza Larsen for decades, during which time I've had the pleasure of playing with her in concerts and musical theater productions on the Las Vegas Strip, as well as seeing her build a thriving K-12 school strings program from the ground up.
Denitza's virtuoso playing skills are matched only by her natural ability to teach musicianship and technique to aspiring string players of all ages.
Her Eastern European music education is evident in her approach to her instrument and music making in general, and I regularly see the benefits of this approach passed on to her students.
I recommend her to you without reservation, both as a music educator *and* performer. She has been an amazing Violin and Piano teacher for both my girls for 4years now! My girls have so much love for music because of her and they both continue to thrive musically with Denitza’s passion and patience for music.
She teaches them to play their instruments beautifully and passionately. For Every lesson she puts unbelievable effort so they can play the right way. We are so very pleased with her method of teaching and if it wasn’t for her we wouldn’t have music lovers in our household
She is a professional and works with your children amazingly. We have our full trust in her to take our kids far with music.View more recommendations
