About the lesson
In the case of learning outside the scope of schoolwork, I run my classes by first going over the conceptual foundations behind computer science and filling any knowledge gaps. Aside from teaching the basics, I am a strong believer that no two students take the same path. I like to help the student create a project they have in mind. While there is freedom in their project choice, I like to steer them toward certain features that will focus on various skills needed for more advanced projects and future learning. This freedom is what keeps students interested and helps avoid burnout. I have a library of projects built from previous students and my own projects, so in the absence of ideas, there is plenty of inspiration to pull from.

I am currently working on a bachelor's in computer science. I have been tutoring in STEM for close to 5 years and have worked in the field as a software engineer doing web development when not in school.
