About the lesson

My students have consistently outperformed the Dallas district and state of Texas biology exams since my first year of teaching. The reason why is because I try to make biology relatable and engaging, with the use of hands-on activities, labs, and lots of games. My lessons are highly aligned, rigorous, and are constantly being improved to provide my students with the best learning experience. I am also bilingual and ready to help with lower level Spanish courses. As a certified nutrition coach, I am also highly prepared to help with nutrition/health courses.

I was highly involved in school as a student-athlete, as well as being involved in multiple extracurriculars, so I understand the importance of time management and having teachers that have high expectations, while also supporting you appropriately.
